hi all, since childhood ive always joked that i was an insomniac as many nights i found my mind very active and not sleeping til 4am when i sart hearing the birds. but since 18 when anxiety became a problem and ive been trying to do a degree and work placements , these sleepless nights are causing me to be so tired and depressed. ive never been able keep a concrete 'normal' sleep pattern. my mind wants to wander at night and i keep going bingeating now. i get so sleepy, moody and tired in the day. has anyone got any concrete tips on what has helped them create a consisent good nights sleep? thanks

i use a sound conditioner. white noise machine. i have trained my brain over the years to use it. when i hear that sound, it means "sleep' to my brain. i fall asleep easily. it can take time to adjust, but once you do, it can really help. even if you tried one in the past, i encourage you to give it another shot. the brand i use is marsona, but there are many different kinds of sound conditioners available. best of luck to you!
